AbGenics has developed vectors for surface display and secretion of therapeutic molecules from probiotic Lactobacilli. Primarily intended for enteral applications these probiotics secrete CaMab or RNAi molecules at the site of action. They can be used for controlling gastrointestinal bacterial, viral and parasitic infections. The probiotics colonize the gut ensuring sustained supply of the therapeutic molecules, sanitizing the area and preventing new or recurring infections.
